On April 12, 2014 many different water vessels took to the BAYOU in support of Water Safety and Reading Literacy. Boaters ,Sailors, canoers, kayakers, SUP’s, and Brett & Colleen Hinley in the Seaplane came together for a photograph on Rocky Bayou. The Niceville Valparaiso Rotary Club, Bluewater Bay Marina and Paradise Paddle Boards sponsor this event to promote Water Safety and Reading Literacy. The Joshua Collingsworth Foundation is a Rotary favored foundation that promotes simply teaching children to NEVER be around the water without an adult. Money raised from the project buys books, Josh the Baby Otter, to take into local preschools and give to the children. The book serves to open dialogue between the children and parents about water safety!
